Abstract

Being a ronggeng means turning into a different human, an upper level of humanity. Superman needs a special stone to be in his superiority, Batman requires a distinct dressing, guns, devices and vehicles, Ironman with his armor. Ronggeng was gifted with Indang tobe her. Srintil is even at much higher level compared to the previous ronggeng. She is the last ronggeng to live in the shift of culture. This research aims to discover how Srintil as the heroine cannot help herself in man superculture, in contrast to the characteristics of the hero who save others.  The data were framed using power relation theory by Foucault.

The result shows that just like those superhero, ronggeng only wants a normal life. She dreams of having a man to marry, a family to go back from doing her services. It is due to the rule of superculture created by men of the high ruler. She has indang as her voluntary power, but it is under Secamenggala order, controlled by the dukun. Thus, her privilege has prevented her from realizing her dream, including to have a true lover. Furthermore, it only left her with the chance to serve others until her ending in prison. She is only a servant of the men's culture, the economic commodity from whom they live their life. Her life course is just the same like other superheroes who fail to manage a normal life like other people, their true ideals.
