Abstract

Introduction: Public health center (PHC) have an important role in providing promotive and preventive services in the community, especially in the era of national health insurance where all people are entitled to fair and comprehensive health services. Weak health promotion and prevention efforts can trigger an increase in disease morbidity in the community. For this reason, it is necessary to evaluate the quality of health promotion and prevention services at PHC in the era of social health insurance. One indicator of the quality of health services is to know the satisfaction of service users. This study aims to analyse community satisfaction with health promotion services at PHC in the national health insurance (NHI) era.

Method: This research is a quantitative research using survey method. This study was conducted on 107 Indonesians who had received health promotion services at the PHC from 2014 to 2021.

Result: The results showed 56.1% of respondents stated that the promotive services of the PHC were in the very good category and 97.2% of respondents said they were satisfied with the promotive services. The components of health promotion services are assessed from the aspects of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and tangible.

Conclusion: Despite showing high community satisfaction results, the implementation of health promotion services at the PHC must still be improved in order to increase the use of health promotion and prevention services by the community in the future.
