CORRELATION BETWEEN INFORMATIONAL SUPPORT AND LEVEL OF ANXIETY OF HYPERTENSION COMMORBIDITY PATIENTS IN THE WORKING AREA OF PUSKESMAS PURWOKERTO TIMUR II IN THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC PERIOD

Abstract


Background :Patients with comorbid hypertension have a two times greater risk of being infected with Covid-19. This cause anxiety in patients with comorbid hypertension. The informational support provided is possible to contribute to reducing the anxiety levels. This study aims to determine the corellation between informational support and anxiety levels in patients with comorbid hypertension during the Covid-19 pandemic.Methodology:This study used a cross sectional design with random sampling technique. Respondents of this study were 89 prolanis patients in the working area of ​​Puskesmas Purwokerto Timur II. The research instrument used an information support questionnaire and The Coronavirus Anxiety Scale questionnaire. Data analysis used Chi Square bivariate analysis.Research result :The results showed that there was a significant corellation between informational support and anxiety levels in patients with comorbid hypertension with a p value 0.034 (0.034 <0.05). Good information support will reduce the risk of experiencing anxiety by 0,897 ( value of RR = 0,897). Conclusion : Good information support can reduce high levels of anxiety in patients with comorbid hypertension during the Covid-19 pandemic. Keywords : Anxiety, Covid-19, Hypertension, Information Support
