THE EFFECTIVENESS OF COVID-19 EDUCATION VIDEOS TOWARD MOTHER'S KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE PREVENTION OF COVID-19 TRANSMISSION TO CHILDREN

Abstract


Background: The Covid-19 virus can be transmitted through droplets. Mother's knowledge in maintaining children's health during the COVID-19 pandemic has a significant influence on children's attitudes and behavior at home. Education using video media can be an option to increase knowledge of COVID-19 prevention in toddlers.

Methods: Quantitative research with a quasi-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. Samples were taken by simple random sampling technique. The sample used in this study amounted to 40 mothers who have toddlers in Purwanegara Village.

Research Results: Knowledge of pre-test in preventing transmission of Covid 19 is good as many as 6 people, 16 people are enough, and 18 people are less. While the results of the post test there are 24 people with good knowledge, 15 people with sufficient knowledge, and 1 person with less knowledge.

Conclusion: There is a difference in knowledge about preventing transmission of Covid-19 before and after the intervention by watching educational videos about preventing Covid-19. This video media can be used for innovation in providing health education to the public in preventing Covid 19.
