Abstract

Introduction: Patients with coronary heart disease will experience a decrease in quality of life caused by functional heart disorders and psychological changes. Self-efficacy is a factor that can improve the quality of life, with good self-efficacy individuals will have self-motivation and confidence in carrying out healthy lifestyle behaviors to reduce risk factors for coronary heart disease. This systematic review aims to assess the results of research on how the impact of self-efficacy on the quality of life of patients with coronary heart disease. Methods: a systematic review was conducted on 7 articles found in databases from PubMed, ScienceDirect, Proquest, Scopus, Crossref, Springer, and Google Scholar. Result: Good self-efficacy shows better healthy behavior when compared to respondents with low self-efficacy. Patients who have good self-efficacy will adopt healthy behavior patterns, furthermore, the patient's quality of life will be good. Conclusion: self-efficacy can improve the quality of life in heart disease patients, especially diseases that require a long treatment process such as coronary heart disease.
