Abstract


Background : Handball is a sport that is very interesting to be played by everyone, both boys and girls. Handball game in principle was created with the aim of getting moving and doing physical activity so that combustion occurs in the body, to get optimal performance, training is needed that is in accordance with athletes who will be used to improve athlete performance. readiness of athletes in reaching the peak of achievement.

 

Purpose : a) Knowing the effect of weight training methods and motor skills. b) Knowing which exercises are better for high physical abilities that are trained with the exercise method better than those trained with the motor skills method. c) Knowing which exercises have lower physical abilities, being trained with the exercise method is better than being trained using the motor skills method. d) Knowing whether there is an interaction between the training method and motor skills on the results of the flying shoot.

 

Method :  used is an experimental research method, using a 2 x 2 factorial experimental design, with a sample of 20 people and divided into high and low groups with two methods to be used, namely the plyometric exercise method and the physical exercise method.

 

Results : data analysis that has been carried out, fcount is 146.3 compared to 0.05 (ftable = 2.33) with degrees of freedom dk = n-1 = 10-1 = 9.  it can be said that the hypothesis is accepted. From the results of the analysis above, it can be concluded that there is an influence between the weight training method with pylometric training on the flying shoot results in handball athletes at public senior high school 14 Palembang because fcount>ftable 146.3>2.33).

Conclusion : Based on the analysis of the results of the research and discussion above, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the effect of weight training methods with high motor and high motor pylometric exercises on the flying shoot results in handball athletes at SMAN 14 Palembang because the value of tcount4> ttable 1.86 , the significance value is 0.00<0.05, meaning that Ha is accepted, Ho is rejected with a 95% confidence level.
