Abstract

Pre-eclampsia is the most common cause of maternal death. Pre-eclampsia can cause various negative effects. Not only on the mother but also on the fetus, both during pregnancy and during the delivery process. Nurses in providing nursing care to pregnant women with pre-eclampsia in the treatment room can use the Levine conservation nursing model theory and the Health Belief Model. A case report of the application of these two theories was conducted on five pregnant women who had pre-eclampsia and underwent conservative therapy. The application of Levine's energy conservation and Health Belief Model in five cases found nursing diagnoses of barriers to comfort, risk of impaired maternal-fetal relationships, anxiety, readiness to improve health management and readiness to improve family processes. The results of the intervention carried out based on conservation principles in the five cases showed that comfort increased, maternal and fetal well-being was stable, anxiety decreased, health management improved and family coping improved.
