Abstract

Leek (Allium fistulosum L.) is a horticultural plant that has good prospects for development. Plants need phosphorus to spur root growth, as a building block for cell nuclei, fat, and protein. The planting media used in this study was ultisol from Somagede District, Banyumas Regency. Ultisol had low pH level. The high solubility of Al and Fe absorb phosphate, which occurs low availability of phosporus for plants.

Humic compounds are organic compounds that can improve soil's physical, chemical, and biological properties. This study consist of two factors such as type of humic compounds and dosage of humic compounds. Type of humic compounds and interaction of type and dosage of humic compounds significantly affect the leek’s phosphorus uptake. s9 (humic compounds from chicken manure compost + water hyacinth + worms) gave the best results of type of humic compounds on the leek’s phosphorus uptake by 0.03%. s10d1 (100 ml of humic compounds from chicken manure compost + water hyacinth + yeast) gave the best results of type and dosage of humic compounds on the leek’s phosphorus uptake by 0.03%..
