Abstract

The issue of high subsidized fertilizer needs is not corresponding to availability at the retail level. The innovation to anticipate problems is the Kartu Tani or Farmers’ Card program. The Farmer's Card makes it easier for the government to increase agricultural production so that the agricultural sector runs according to the target. However, there is a lack of awareness and low knowledge of farmers' resources in understanding the usefulness of Farmers’ Card. The Technology Readiness Model (TR) and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) were used to analyze the interest in using Farmers’ Card. This study analyzes the factors of readiness and acceptance of farmers on the interest in using the Farmer's Card in Sumenep Regency. Quantitative data were collected through interviews with structured questionnaires to 140 farmers selected using simple random sampling. The analysis was carried out using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of the hypothesis indicate that the use of Farmers’ Card is significant to farmers' interest in using Farmers’ Card. On the other hand, the ease of using Farmers’ Card is not significant and it is difficult for farmers. This study suggests that stakeholders be more intensive in dealing with user problems.
