Organic farming is an environment friendly approach in which we avoid the use of synthetic fertilizer, pesticides, insecticides and herbicide and depend on natural fertilizer and biological methods of farming, but there is lack of institutional and Governmental support to promote organic farming system in Pakistan. But there is still a great tendency among farming community towards organic farming systems as well as numerous farmers are practicing organic farming in different district of Pakistan. Therefore a survey study was conducted in 6 selected district of Pakistan to explore and investigate the existing design of organic farmers, their organic farming practices, perceptions awareness, problems and motivation towards organic farming system. A structured questionnaire was used for interview of farmers. The soil samples taken at depth of 0-30 cm and 30-60 cm from each organic farm and were analyzed for organic matter content and a relationship between time and organic matter content were made. The resulted data showed that there were numerous numbers of organic farmers in the study area and the organic matter of their soil was much better than total OM content of Pakistan.
