The Heroic Action of The Humanist Futuristic Robot Called Doraemon in Spreading Bushido’s Values to The World

Abstract


The aim of this research is to see what bushido values ​​are implanted in humanist futuristic figures, and are known throughout the world, namely Doraemon.As we know Japan has two sides in developing their country, modern side and tradisional side. The modern side is shown by the results of high technology spread throughout the world. Whereas traditional values ​​are maintained in interpersonal relations. Bushido itself is a guide to living among the society in Edo-era  (1603-1867) developed by samurai. The meaning of bushido itself, is defined in the Meiji era in the 19th century. The figure of Doraemon in the Japanese comic world, introduced for the first time in 1969,  by its creator, Fujiko F. Fujio. Doraemon came from the 22nd century, to protect his great-grandfather from his 22nd-century employer named Sewashi. In further development, animation series of Doraemon is packaged into an animated film and even spread to the big screen. The didactic values ​​conveyed through the films were influenced by the Japanese understanding of how to live in society. This research explores the didactic value related to the bushido principle that is still being carried out in modern times and is reflected in the work of Japanese animated films, Doraemon.
